The RPA have written to Claimants who have used land to activate their Single Payment, which the EU consider to be in "dual use".  This means that another Party is claiming under RDPE Schemes such as Environmental Stewardship/Woodland Schemes on the same land.  While dual use has been condoned or even encouraged by Natural England since 2005 the RPA are now introducing stringent new rules whereby each Party has to be able to prove by written management agreements sufficient management control to be eligible for each scheme.  IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A DUAL USE WARNING LETTER PLEASE CONTACT US FOR ADVICE BEFORE MAKING YOUR 2012 CLAIM  We have already drafted a set of Agreements which will safeguard both Parties in the event that the RPA/Natural England seek to apply penalties, or otherwise withhold payments on 2012 dual use claims.
